Dear Friend's inChrist, Today's message is telling us to be very careful on how we pet our children. For instance, on the day the church has chosen that every body should fast, we will say that our children will not join us especially when they are not up to15yrs. Please do not allow the devil to deceive you because children of today corrupt right from their mother's womb. What we are giving birth to today are no longer children but adult. Although, they may be infant by age but adult in character. Just look at the ages of this little shepherds of Fatimaand understand what I am talking about. 10yrs, 9yrs, 7yrs. But they suffered a great deal for thesake of the kingdom of God. So parents kindlysit up and emulate a lot from the lives of this little seers of Fatima. This is the22nd episode on the life of the Blessed Jacinta Marto. SACRIFICING THEIR LUNCH Presently, on the day after the first apparition, Jacinta exclaimed: ---That Lady told us to say the Rosary and to make sacrifice for the conversion of sinners….. And the sacrifices, how are we going to make them? Right away, Francisco thought of a good sacrifice: ---Let's give our lunch to the sheep, and make the sacrifice of doing without it. In a couple of minutes, the contents of our lunch bag had been divided amongthe sheep. So that day, we fasted as strictly as the most austere Carthusian! Jacinta took this matter of making sacrifices for the conversion of sinners so much to heart, that she never let a single opportunity escape her. There were two families in Moita, whose children used to go round begging from door to door. We met them one day, as we were going along with our sheep. As soon as she saw them, Jacinta said to us: ---Let's give our lunch to those poor children, for the conversion of sinners? And she ran to take it to them. We had agreed that whenever we met any poor children like these, we would give them our lunch. They were only too happy to receive such alms, and they took good care to meet us; they used to wait for us along the road. We no sooner saw them than Jacinta ran to give them all the food we had for that day, as happy as if she had no need of it herself. Lunch for the shepherds did not mean, as it does for us sometimes, a light meal in the afternoon, but their main midday meal. Actually, they left the house in the morning, and only returned when it was dark. What a great sacrifice that was, to spend the whole day without eating a bite! This is where I will call it a day for today's discussion. I am going away fromtomorrow for apostolic work engagement, and so because of that, I will not comeyour way again this week. Till I come back next week. Please pray for me andremain Blessed in the Immaculate Heart.
Yours in the Immaculate Heart, Br. Emmanuel Obele Maria
