About Me
I am a 62yr. old cradle Catholic baptized a Roman Catholic, with First Holy Communion and Confirmation following. comments. I was born under the Magisterium of Vatican I, and like all little Catholic girls, I wanted to be a nun! God had other plans for me - I am a mother, grandmother, and last year I became a Great-Grandmother With The Grace of God! I had left the Church for a while due to what I considered a betrayal by the one someone I thought I could trust, a priest. No ifs, ands or buts, The Almighty Good God made me a Catholic, so in spite of my studying many different religions, He brought me back into the Church. I started on the way back by reciting the rosary 3 times a day every day! I am sincerely, strongly devoted to The Sacred Heart Of Jesus, Who with the frequent recitations of the rosary and Novenas to Him and St. Anthony of Padua (my patron saint), have Blessed me to leave a "sick" bed after 11yrs of chronic, excruciating pain, with a diagnosis of what the drs. call "Degenerative Joint Disease", which is a fancy way of saying what I call "super arthritis". 2wks ago, I finally had an appt. with a real Pain Dr. and received an epidural injection was has kept me pain-free ever since. It's like being born again. My own words came back to haunt me "Sometimes God has to put you flat on your back to get your attention." The time in bed "flat on my back made me learn how to pray from my heart, and not just from my lips. Faith in my heart is a four-letter word "HOPE", the substance of the mustard seed. All of my elders have passed on, leaving me the oldest woman in the family. Many times issues come up and I think I can call someone in the family and remember they have passed on, I'm "it"! So I've learned to talk to Jesus and be patient. Tonite I told my brother, I am so "HAPPY", humble, and grateful to be back in the Roman Catholic Church again, because my foundation growing up was so strong, I feel "home" again. In spite of all the religions that I have studied, Catholicism is natural to my spirit. I praise God and glorify His Holy name! Post a CommentOops! The words you entered did not match the given text. God's Blessing to Mary T. and the Apostolate! I have been trying to share a blessing that I received at the same time as I received my Apostolate items. I must say that I had been lurking (?) around for the mailman to bring my rosary kit for days. Anyway, on the day that I received the kit, I had a handful of other mail, but when I saw the return address of the Apostolate, I was elated, and couldn't wait to get upstairs to open it! I also noticed an envelope from the Society of The Little Flower, of which I am a friend, thinking "it's probably greeting cards" I made a mental note to open it next. I opened my Apostolate "kit" and made an appt. for the next day to have the items blessed. To my surprise , when I opened the envelope from "The Little Flower", she had sent me a blessing, "in her little way". I had received a miniature copy of the Crucifix that stands in the Monastery where she spent her life, with a photo of her standing next to the original Crucifix, and another photo taken from her cell, that looked upon the courtyard so that she was able to see it when she became very ill! This has made her little way a true reality for me, and given me guidance on how one can follow "the little way". I have received many blessings from The Good God ever since I joined the Apostolate, and had tried to send comments, but being technologically-challenged, I lost 2 of them when they flew into cyperspace! I have no idea what happened, but shortly before I had received an email about becoming a rosary-maker, I had decided to do so, I took a giant leap and ordered my starter kit. I do quite a bit of handcrafts - sewing, embroidery, crochet, etc.,so this is right up my alley! Don't want to lose this comment, so I will sign out, as usual, yours in Christ, Therese.
